1 Name change

1.1 General

On the 24 th of March 2026, the name change from ISAVIA ANS to AVIANS took effect.
The name change does not affect operations, responsibilities, services or organisational structure.
AVIANS continues to operate air navigation services and related aviation activities.
AVIANS still belongs to the parent corporation Isavia OHF.

1.2 Management

1.2.1 Chief Executive Officer

  • Kjartan Briem was appointed CEO of Isavia ANS in January of 2021.

1.2.2 Board of Directors

The company board remains the same, the company board directors are:
  • Stefán Sigurðsson, chairman of the board
    (board member since 2021).
  • Valgerður Hrund Skúladóttir, board member (since 2025).
  • Árni Birgisson, board member
    (since 2022, appointed to the board by the Isavia Group).
